Fishing and Outdoors

In northwestern PA where I live and hunt the spring is a great time of year to get out and spend your mornings turkey hunting and the afternoons fishing (usually working a nap in there somewhere). It is truly one of the greatest times of the year as the birds and animals are in seemingly frivolous motion in excitement for the upcoming summer and in preparation for newborns. I am out the door by first light headed to my turkey blind, box call and coffee in hand. The heat of the afternoon makes for a great time to cast along a quite, yet recently stocked, fishing stream. After fishing I spend my time getting camp set and a fire going to cook my fresh catch. The evening is spent around the fire contemplating the days events and planning tomorrow’s outing. It is a magical time of year that every avid outdoorsman looks forward to and cherishes.

I recently got the chance to partake of this great time of year at my camp outside of Oil City PA. This year was the first year I used a ground blind for turkey hunting, mostly because I had my 2 year old son with me and I figured it was my only shot of bagging a turkey. I had the ground blind stake set up with the 3-in-1 Camera holder, Cup Holder with Burger Tray, and the Crossbow Holder. It was a great hunting accessory to have and made things much more convenient in the blind, especially considering I had a 2 year old running around in there with me. But after the turkey hunt I decided I would use the Ground Stake for fishing and it was a huge help!

I went down to the bank of Pit Hole Creek just down the road from camp. I placed the stake in the ground and re-positioned the Crossbow Holder so it would better support my fishing pole. I kept my bait on the Burger Tray, my drink in the Cup Holder and my cell phone in the Camera Holder. The inconvenience of fishing has always been where to put your stuff.  Where I fish there are a lot of rocks and tall grass and if you cant put it in your fishing vest it is hard to bring along. But as you can see from this video, the Ground Blind Stake I had used for turkey hunting made a great fishing buddy for me.  This is a versatile product that has become a must have for me in the field and on the stream as well.
